Welcome to all of our members and guest to the 2012 golf season at the 14 Wing Greenwood Golf Club.

“Member Loyalty” is our theme for this season and with that we are kicking things off with a 10% discount off your Adult, Spousal, Weekday and Senior membership fees if you sign up before the 30th of April. What a great deal! We also offer a 7-month payment plan that runs from April to October giving you the opportunity to spread out your golf fees. We have lots of options and packages to suite everyone.

I will be at the club beginning Monday, February 20th from 11:00am – 1:00pm to start taking memberships. Come out and see me – I’ll have the coffee on!

Our web site will be getting a new look any day now so be sure to check back often for updates.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and all of our staff, we want to wish all of our members and guests a magical Christmas. We hope everyone is healthy and happy this holiday season and we look forward to seeing everyone in the spring.

All of our members are aware that the course is closed for the season. Our staff has all been laid off and the flags removed. That being said, any of our members who wish to walk are certainly able to play golf on the course. Power carts are not permitted on the course but you can certainly walk. Please take care of our course if you choose to go out. We hope everyone is enjoying this unseasonably warm weather.

ALL POWER CARTS MUST BE REMOVED BY THE 6TH OF NOVEMBER AND NO POWER CARTS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE COURSE AS OF NOVEMBER 7TH

MAINTENANCE WILL NEED TO SPRAY THE GREENS AND WILL NEED TO SHUT THE COURSE DOWN ON SHORT NOTICE

PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO ENSURE THAT THE COURSE IS OPEN FOR PLAY AND THAT THINGS LIKE FROST & RAIN HAVE NOT CAUSED A DELAY OR UNEXPECTED CLOSURE

Well as our golf season is quckly coming to a close, I would like to pass on a few reminders.

Only 1 day left to take advantage of the “New Member Promotion” so call the Pro Shop for details.

Club Storage closes as of Sunday, October 30th.

Private Power Carts must be removed by Sunday, November 6th.

Next week the Pro Shop will be closed from Monday, November 7th to Wednesday, November 9th. The Pro Shop will reopen for Thursday and Friday of next week.

As long as the weather is good over the next few weekends, the Pro Shop will be open.

Due to the amount of rain we received yesterday, the course will be closed until Monday, October 24th.

Please call on Monday for an update to see if the course is open for play.

Due to the heavy rainfall, the course is closed today. I will post an update on the course tomorrow.

Congratulations to Margie Welin who is this year’s Volunteer of the Year. Thank you, Margie, for all the hard work you put into our flower beds and beautification of our course.

Congratulations to our very own Sherri Moore who was the winner of the 3-year membership draw! The winning ticket was pulled by Mr. Doug McEwan at the Fall General Meeting held earlier this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the “2012 New Member” promotion running until the 31st of October. Take advantage of the FREE bonus range plan for 2012 included for a new member who signs up before the 31st of October plus pay this seasons rates for next.
