Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you have a question that is not answered here, please feel free to use the Suggestion Program by completing one of the feedback cards in the clubhouse.

Q: How can I get my question answered?
A: Use the customer survey forms in the Clubhouse or contact the President, Major Ron Kielback or Manager, Mrs. Karen Gorman.

Q: There are too many tournaments, which interferes with member play.
A: Tournaments are a necessary and vital source of revenue for the club - any club. Membership rates would have to increase if tournaments were limited. We are very conscientious of the membership's needs and we work diligently to find that balance between great rates and availability.

Q: Why can't I redeem my free pass from last year or previous seasons?
A: In July 2010, it was announced that free passes from previous seasons or with no expiry dates indicated would no longer be accepted effective as of 1 Jan 2011. Passes issued in the 2010 season, and in future seasons will have hard expiry dates indicated on the pass.

Q: Can I take my children out on the course when I golf?
A: Children must be 8 years old to play on the course unless an exception has been granted by management - for example, a 7-year old signing up under the Junior Program who turns 8 during the summer. As a general rule, smaller children are not permitted on the course due to liability and risk dangers - be sure to check with the Pro Shop staff or Management before taking your child out on the course - remember that being struck by a golf ball or club has a much more serious consequence on a child compared to an adult!

Q: Do I have to wear a collared shirt? What is the dress code at the 14 Wing GGC?
A: The dress code is posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. Collared shirts are not mandatory but questionable T-Shirts will not be permitted, such as those with suggestive or lewd slogans. Work-out attire such as sweat pants or yoga pants are also not permitted. Generally, if you would wear it to the gym to work out, don't wear it to the club to golf. Click here for a detailed list.
